Queensland's Allan Davis (Quickstep) has been crowned champion of the 2009 Tour Down Under and leader of the UCI ProTour after an impressive week of racing that saw him win three of the event's six stages.

The Aussie is inspried! Allan Davis (Quickstep) pulls off another exciting win in the Tour Down Under. It was Davis's third stage win in four days. Davis has only to finish with the front group in tomorrow's final stage and he will be crowned champion of the 2009 Tour Down Under and leader of the UCI ProTour. Armstrong was content to ride in with the peloton. He is 29th in the GC, 0.49 off the lead.

Lance Armstrong moved up one spot to 38th in the GC. 0.39 behind the leader

Stage 2 Hahndorf to Stirling - Tour Down Under 2009

Stage 2 was a 145km ride through Hahndorf in South Australia and the Adelaide Hills to Stirling.

Robbie Mcewen got his arm slashed by a camera. Lance Armstrong attacked on two hill climbs. The 37 year old Armstrong made ground from 120th place, but said afterward about the attacks: "I feel OK, but it was very hard. Attacking on the hills wasn't the smartest thing to do."

Queensland's Allan Davis (Quickstep) won Stage 2 of the Tour Down Under 2009.
